Posted - 10/10/2012 Featured in Arcade Magazine Fall issue: ITP Founder & Executive Director Maggie Kaplan
Maggie Kaplan, Founder and Executive Director
of Invoking the Pause (ITP), recently was interviewed for the new Fall 2012 Issue Feature Section of ARCADE Magazine, exploring the theme of Global More=Global Less. "Having time for mulling and incubation is essential to finding truly integrated, innovative strategies".
Maggie "has committed to supporting exploration through small grants that give recipients the freedom of time to explore intellectual and meaningful connections. This generosity is essential in shifting profoundly embedded values and patterns."
ARCADE Magazine's mission is to incite dialogue about design and the built environment: "to inspire designers, creative professionals and design enthusiasts to reconsider how design impacts the world around us, and, in turn, instigates positive change."
The theme of their new Fall 2012 Issue Feature Section is "Global More=Global Less". Barbara Swift, the feature editor asserts: "we can leap beyond the fear of change to find liberating strategies, including the thinking and work of individuals and organizations that are moving beyond a resistance to change and action. This is hard work, requiring a fearless commitment and a willingness to be alone in an inherently optimistic pursuit."
We invite you to read the ARCADE Magazine interview conducted by Gabriela Denise Frank, an Invoking the Pause (ITP) Grant Partner with CityLab7.
