Invoking the Pause is so proud that one of our recent Grant Partners, Joshua S. Fouts, has been selected as the new Executive Director of Bioneers, an organization with whom we share great kinship.

Due to his Invoking the Pause grants, Joshua met with the Ashaninka people, a tribe of indigenous people in the Brazilian Amazon, conducting research to build an app about the impact of climate disruption.  This project helped cement his relationship with Bioneers.

As the new ED, Joshua said: "Today we are re-imagining ways to integrate and learn from indigenous peoples, to create sustainable paths in harmony with the modern world and Nature. We can re-imagine new architectural possibilities, new ways of living, new modes of dress, new ways of nourishing and healing ourselves."

Interestingly, all of this was boldly imagined 25 years ago by the founders of Bioneers, Kenny Ausubel and Nina Simons (a member of the ITP Advisory Committee).  And today there exist innovative practical applications of these concepts across many fields.

We wish Joshua and Bioneers a very long and fruitful relationship!
